Jean Pauline Holbrook

Jean Pauline Holbrook, 86, passed away on April 18, 2024, at Ayers Nursing Home in Snyder. She was born in Hanna on April 29, 1938, to Elizabeth Self. She grew up in Mountain View. She was the second born child of her mother with eight sibling’s total. She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings, except Tony Self of Seminole.

She was always the adventurous one. She moved pretty regular including places like New York, Colorado and Oklahoma. She loved New York but New York wasn’t the best for her. She later in life decided that she should move to Hobart, when she decided that moving all the time was too much of a hassle. She later in life was not able to stay by herself and with her wild streak no one could contain her so the nursing home became her final residence.

Survivors include her six children: Mary Perry of Mountain Park, Bobby Marshall of Binghamton, New York, Connie Stewart of Hobart, Roberta Woods of Binghamton, New York, Vicky Woodward and her husband Brian of Raeford, North Carolina, Robert Dingman of Johnson City, New York, her son, Chester Jarnigan proceeded her in death.

Jean had 17 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She had numerous nieces and nephews.
