James Lee Brazil III, 60, of Snyder passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2022, in Oklahoma City. He was born June 19, 1962, in Hobart to Jim and Kathryn (Holland) Brazil. He was a graduate of Snyder High School Class of 1980. Lee was the baby of the family and lived his life as the favorite brother to four doting sisters. He spent his younger years working in the family’s John Deere dealership and Jim’s Quickstop. He tried his hand at bull riding and wandering in his Airstream camper. He finally attempted to settle when he married Rhonda Nard in January of 1987. His life was forever changed on July 2, 1988, when his daughter, Sarah Lee Anne was born. He made it his life’s mission to raise a child that loved Jesus and cared for others. He made their home in Snyder and worked at Goodyear in Lawton until his time of death. Lee loved any activity that involved his daughter, son-in-law Colt, and his two granddaughters. He was known as the family’s champion meat smoker, and he always loved feeding a crowd. Lee had gentle hands and a wild streak. He was full of love and the perfect amount of sarcasm.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Sarah and Colt Self and two granddaughters, Kathryn and Maggie of Snyder, his four sisters and their husbands: Dorothy and Gerald Skinner of Edmond, Shirley Richardson of Yukon, Lynda and Truett Guthrie of Hobart, Carol and Tom Ice of Yukon, mother of his only daughter, Rhonda Helms of Lawton and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
Lee was preceded in death by his parents.
