Marvin Lynn Dickerson
It is with deep sadness that the family of Marvin Lynn Dickerson, 72, announces that he passed from this life into the next on April 1, 2021, in Wichita, Kansas.
Lynn (as he was known all his life) was born on July 14, 1948, to Marvin Wilson and Dorothy Grace (Turner) Dickerson. After graduating from high school in Snyder, he went to New York, New York, where he worked on the World Trade Center Building (the very one that collapsed on 9/11). Later, he worked for Georgia Steel as an engineer. In the early 90s he changed career paths, opening BCI, a treatment and counseling center for those with substance abuse problems.
Lynn was an outgoing person with a larger-than-life personality. He definitely loved his sons, namely Marvin Lynn Dickerson Jr. (Scooter) who preceded him in death in 2019 and Michael Elliott Dickerson, who lives nearby in Wichita.
Also preceding Lynn in death were his parents Marvin and Dorothy Dickerson and his only brother Jackie Dean Dickerson. Lynn will be sorely missed by family and friends.
