Memorial service with Military Honors for Dennis J. Saville were Tuesday, February 23, 2021, in the First Baptist Church of Snyder with Rev. Nick Johnson, Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Lindsay, officiating.
Arrangements were under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home of Snyder. It is requested for those attending to please wear masks and social distance when possible. Dennis Joe Saville, 72, Mountain Park, passed away Friday, February 19, 2021, in Wichita Falls, Texas. He was born September 29, 1948, in Altus to Joseph Kirk Jr. and Jossa B. (Pryor) Saville. He married Brenda K. Evans on May 4, 1968, in Lawton. Dennis served honorably as a 1LT in the United States Army from 1971 until being discharged in 1973. He earned his teaching degree and taught school in 1973 in Gravette, Arkansas, and in 1978 he taught in Medellin, Columbia, South America. In 1979 he returned to Snyder where he taught school until he retired in 2001 after 28 years teaching. After his retirement he farmed, and eventually turned the farm over to his son Michael and grandson Brandon. Dennis was a longtime member and Deacon of the First Baptist Church of Snyder. Survivors include his wife Brenda of the home, son Michael and his wife Brandy Saville, grandson Brandon Saville, brother and sister-in-law Larry and Tammie Saville, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Junior and Jossa Saville, a daughter Brenda Denise Saville, his brother Albert Saville and his sister Jo Ellen Saville.
