Jim Newt Miller

heavenly father and joined the wife whom he missed so dearly, Betty, on February 12, 2021. Jim Newt Miller started his amazing life in Headrick, to H.H. Miller and Pauline Edwards on April 4, 1932. He spent most of his childhood in Headrick. He was married to Betty Miller for 52 years. He worked various jobs in his early life until he found his calling in the funeral business. He poured his heart into the mortuary business while working for Ellis Funeral Home in Midland for 30 years. Jim was a social blessing to everyone whom he encountered. He had a way about him that made a stranger feel like an old friend. Jim is preceded in death by the love of his life, Betty Miller. He is survived by eight children: Susan Hetzel and late husband Dennis, Jimmie Lancaster, Mary Downs and husband Lee, Mike Miller, Billy Miller, Joy Stacy and husband Bobby, Loise Watts and husband David, Tim Reither and wife Pam; 13 grandchildren; and 23 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held February 20, 2021, at Ellis Funeral Home in Midland. Burial will be held privately.
