Sheila Mullins Bass

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sheila June Mullins Bass on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 in Lawton, at the age of 74. Sheila was born on July 14, 1948, in Clovis, New Mexico to Floyd Mullins and Ruth Snow, and grew up in the Mountain Park – Snyder area before moving to Cache where she graduated high school. She later attended Oklahoma State University.

In 1968, Sheila married Fred Bass in Wichita Falls, Texas, and worked with him in his business, “Original Equipment,” but was primarily a devoted homemaker. Sheila was an avid Bingo player and loved reading, especially murder mysteries and watching crime shows.

Sheila is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, three children and their spouses, Carla and Mark Clodfelter, Larry Young, and Erik and Tiffany Bass, all of Lawton. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, her brother and sister-in-law, John and Charlene Mullins of Mountain Park, and three sisters, June Hix-Tucker of Lawton, Sammie Neugebauer of Indiahoma and Susie Hollis of Mountain Park. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Allen Mullins.

Sheila will be deeply missed by all who knew her. In accordance with her wishes, there will be no services held.
