Clinton Dale “Clint” Block

Clinton Dale “Clint” Block, 39, of Snyder, OK passed away at home, unexpectedly, on October 5, 2023, with his longtime companion Jenny Stouder by his side.
Clint was born on June 29, 1984, to James Dale and Elizabeth Faye Block in the bustling city of Altus, OK, though he lived most of his life in and around Roosevelt, OK. Clint graduated from Navajo High School in 2003. After graduation, he worked on river barges along the Mississippi River for a period. In his relatively short life Clint had various jobs including positions in the oil field, cotton harvesting and, most recently, at the Hobart Stockyards.
In 2004, Clint married Tara Luebking in Altus, OK. Clint and Tara went on to have one daughter, Cali Deann Block. Though this marriage eventually dissolved, Clint’s love for Cali was undeniable.
In 2014, he was blessed with another daughter, Avery Lake, whom he also cherished with his whole heart.
Clint was an avid dog lover, hunter and fisherman. You could find him enjoying one or all of these things most days. He caught some of the biggest catfish you’ve ever seen. There wasn’t a buck in Kiowa County that he didn’t have his eye on, and a wild hog didn’t stand a chance with Clint and his dogs around. Clint’s love for the great outdoors was truly extraordinary.
Clint was preceded in death by his father, James Dale Block and his beloved mother, Elizabeth Faye Block; grandparents Elmer and Velma Lina Block (Stephens), and Otis Roy and Dona Lea Poe (Hillard); and Uncle Johnny Max Block.
He is survived by daughters, Cali Deann Block of Humble, TX (age 18), and Avery Lake of Altus, OK (age 9); companion Jenny Stouder; sisters, Sharon Gee and husband Rory of Electra, TX, and Karen Johnson and husband Brent of El Reno, OK; nieces, Jami Erskine and husband Jeremy of Klein, TX, Jodessa Browning and husband Shawn of Jacksboro, TX, Jaci Carter of Wichita Falls, TX and Hunter Johnson of Weatherford, OK; great nieces and nephews, Sydney Sokora of Brooklyn, NY, Jayton Maxwell of Byers, TX, Eli and Audie Browning of Jacksboro, TX, Cannon and Cash Erskine of Klein, TX, Kayson Wells of Proffitt, TX and Hayslea Shirey of Burkburnett, TX; Aunt Betty Broadus, Uncle Richard Poe and wife Carolyn, Aunt Paula Block, as well as numerous cousins and friends around Central and Southwest Oklahoma.
Services will be held at Becker-Rabon Funeral Home in Snyder, OK on Friday, October 13 at 2 p.m. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5-7 p.m.
