Della June Liles

Funeral service for Della June (Callen) Liles was at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, October 14, 2023, in the Cooperton Community Building, Cooperton, with Dr. Jeff Laughlin, Pastor of Immanuel Baptist Church, Paris, Texas officiating.

Burial was in the Spring Hill Cemetery, south of Cooperton under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home of Snyder.

Della June (Callen) Liles passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at the Baptist Village Memory Care Center in Oklahoma City. She was 92 years old and had a full and adventuresome life. She was born on the Callen Ranch in NW Comanche County, Oklahoma on June 24, 1931.

Della June graduated from Cooperton High School in 1949 and Cameron Junior College in 1951. She attended Oklahoma A & M but moved to California before graduation. She moved back to Oklahoma and married Leonard “Red” Liles on September 27, 1953. She raised three sons and was a farm wife. Later she worked for Alltel Phone Company in Roosevelt, and then joined her husband in the insurance business in Snyder.

Della June is survived by her three sons: Phillip of Snyder, Doug and wife Lisa of Bristow, Curtis and wife Judy of Oklahoma City; six grandchildren: Keyna and husband John Metcalfe of Mannford, Jennifer and husband Robert Dailey of Prosper, Texas, Steven Liles of Norman, Callen Liles of Lakewood, Colorado, Savanah and husband Mikail Reuter of Plano, Texas, Madison and husband Brian Ritter of Mannford, bonus grandson, Brandon and wife Jackie Vestal of Sherman Oaks, California; five great-grandchildren with another one on the way and two bonus great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers: Ned and wife Betty Callen of Mountain Park, Wesley and wife Kary Callen of Littlefield, Texas; and two sisters-in-law, Delma Mace of Carnegie, and Maxine Liles of Orlando, Florida.

Della June was preceded in death by her parents, Mack Americus and Delores (Tucker) Callen and her husband of 44 years, Leonard “Red” Liles.
