Dorothy Mae Brown

Funeral services for Dorothy Mae Brown, age 88, of Tipton, will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, November 4, 2023, at the Jackson Funeral Home Chapel in Frederick, with Mr. Jimmie C. Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Tipton Cemetery under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home of Frederick. Mrs. Brown passed away Monday morning, October 30, 2023, at Ayers Nursing Home in Snyder.

Dorothy Mae (Eaton) Brown was born March 16, 1935, in Ada to Elwin G. and Ella Ann (Files) Eaton. She graduated from Cement High School with the Class of 1953. She and Roy Lee Brown were united in marriage on April 12, 1956, in Burkburnett, Texas. He preceded her in death on December 18, 2005. She is survived by her son, Gregory L. Brown of Tipton; two daughters: Sandra Scheller of Wichita Falls, Texas and Tanya Davis of Sherman, Texas; two stepdaughters: Shirley Patterson of Cottage Grove, Oregon and Linda Brown of Italy; sister, Mary Ann Mink of Cement; one grandson and two great-grandchildren.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Elwin and Ella Ann; her husband, Roy Lee; five sisters, Ruth Lunceford, Helen Harms, Joy Kilpatrick, Betty Brown, and Linda Simmons; and a brother in infancy, Elwin G. Eaton, Jr.
