David Monroe Denham Jr.

David Monroe Denham Jr., 94 years of age, passed away at home on Tuesday, November 22, 2023. David had been living in Derby, Kansas, with son and daughter-in-law, James B. and Debra J. Denham, for over ten years. David was born in Farwell, Texas on October 7th, 1929 to Lela "Brown" Denham and David Monroe Denham Sr.

He married Fern Marie Hodson on September 29, 1950. He and his wife had two sons, David Michael Denham and James Benton Denham. David and his wife moved with their family from Snyder to Haysville, Kansas in 1966 following the sale of Brantley Helicopter, of Frederick, to the Learjet Corp. of Wichita, Kansas. David continued to work for Learjet until his retirement in 1992 when he and his wife moved to Bull Shoals, Arkansas.

David was preceded in death by his wife Fern of over 61 years on May 6, 2012, and his oldest son, David Michael Denham on August 28, 2020. David was also preceded in death by both of his parents and all six of his siblings.

David is survived by his son James Benton Denham of Derby, Kansas; grandchildren: Ami N. Denham-Gomes and Erin M. Denham-Pritchard; two great-grandchildren: Ruby N. Pritchard and Oliver H. Pritchard.
