Funeral service for Pamela Kay Morris was June 7, 2025, at the Snyder Methodist Church. Burial was at Mountain Park Cemetery, under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral of Snyder.
Pamela Kay Kane-Morris, 69, died Sunday, June 1, 2025, at Jackson County Memorial Hospital with her husband by her side.
Pam was born to Aaron Kane and Jewell Burge on October 7, 1955, in Hobart. She graduated from Mountain Park High School.
Pam married Gene A Morris on July 3, 1982, and to this union a son Michael Kane Morris was born.
Pam had a deep love for arts and crafts and was a talented seamstress. She enjoyed raising orchids and had a passion for photography and the outdoors, especially spending time at Tom Steed Reservoir. An avid animal lover, Pam also found joy in fishing and outdoor activities.
She shared a special bond with her son Michael, and she often served as his sparring partner in karate, along with training in karate herself. She also trained alongside him in various other sports. She taught him how to shoot rifles from the hip. 
In addition to her many interests, Pam served faithfully as the Secretary and Treasurer for the town of Cooperton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Aaron Kane and Jewell Burge Carter, daughter, Heather Katrina Morris, stepson, Clifton Morris, two sisters, Johnna Beth Kerr and Irene Messick and son-in-law, Billye Brown.
She is survived by her husband, Gene Morris, of Cooperton, her son, Michael Morris of Cooperton, sister, Ginger Lemons (Alan), Oklahoma City, four stepsons: Anthony Morris of Dallas, Texas, Samuel Morris (Gwen) of Houston, Texas, Calvin Morris of Saint Louis, Missouri, Timothy Morris (Sue) of Headrick, two step-daughters: Elizabeth Morris-Brown of Abilene, Texas, Brenda Bennett of Ceder Hill, Texas and a host of step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
