James Isaac Reimer

January 29, 2026

James “Jim” Isaac Reimer went to be with his Heavenly Father on December 23, 2025. Jim was born in Newton, Kansas on July 13, 1943, to David P, and Tena Viola (Kliewer) Reimer. Jim lived in Kansas for most of his childhood, moving to California after high school.
Jim was always working outside with his hands. He had done everything from working with a custom combine crew in Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas to being on a bridge crew in Kansas. In his later years, he learned the art of tile setting while in California. He worked as a tile setter with his oldest son Jeff in California and also in Oklahoma.
Jim married Mary Ann Dame on April 21, 1984. Together they spent 43 years building a home in California and Oklahoma. First in Fresno, then Yukon, and finally moving to Hobart where Jim and Mary have lived the last 30 plus years.
Jim was very active in his church, Territory Cowboy Church of Hobart. Over the years Jim had the joy of being part of mission trips to Malawi, Africa. While on these missions, Jim would preach the gospel to all he met. Many times, having the blessing of witnessing thousands come to know Jesus through the mission teams he was part of. One of his dreams when he was little was to be able to go on safari and see the multitudes of God’s creation. On one such trip to Malawi a surprise trip to an African Animal Sanctuary provided that dream to come true. Jim was elated to be on Safari with his mission team. Jim loved the Lord and wanted to share the goodness of God with whomever he met. He served as the Reimer family intercessor, which was passed to him by his father, and Jim now passes to his youngest son Jason.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, David and Tena Reimer. He is survived by his wife Mary Ann Reimer of Hobart, sons Jeff and Crista Reimer of Fresno, California, Jason and Karmyn Reimer of Tecumseh, and step son Rick Baldwin, of Hobart. Jim also had many grandsons: Jerrett, Jake, Josh and Jayden Reimer of Fresno, Isaac Reimer of Tecumseh, and Blake Baldwin of Mt. View; great grandchildren: Zoey, Jordan, Jackson, Noah, and Jameson of Fresno. Jim also is survived by his siblings: sister Eva Pauls and husband Adonijah of McPherson, Kansas, Donald Reimer of Yuma, Arizona, John Reimer and wife Judy of Galva, Kansas, and Richard Reimer, wife Mary of North Platte, Nebraska; also numerous nieces and nephews from all over the US and beyond.
Services will be held at the Territory Cowboy Church on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Shane Funkhouser officiating.
