Gretta Ann Abramson

Gretta Ann Abramson was born on October 26, 1950 to Alfred O and Velma B (Kenimer) Miller in Hobart. She passed on January 22, 2026, at the age of 75 years, 2 months, and 27 days.
Gretta grew up in the Roosevelt area along with her sister Kay and brother Mark. She attended grade school in Cooperton and graduated from Roosevelt High School. After high school she went to work briefly for an insurance company as a secretary. She later went to work for Southwestern Bell as a phone operator and later in the business office for 20 years. In 1972, she married Johnnie Abramson and they made their home in Arapaho. While working at Southwestern Bell, she attended Southwestern Oklahoma University. She obtained her bachelor degree in accounting. After obtaining her accounting degree, Gretta went to work for Bar S in Clinton as their accountant for 20 years. Gretta was a hard worker and while being the accountant for Bar S she also acquired a cattle operation where she raised bottle calves.
In her spare time, she loved to raise flowers in her green house. Gretta also loved cats and always kept a few around. She also raised butterflies specifically monarchs and swallow tails and everyone knew her as the butterfly lady.
She is preceded in death by her parents Alfred and Velma Miller and parents-in-law John and Ella Abramson.
Gretta is survived by her husband Johnnie Abramson of Clinton; sister Kay Miller and Phillip Byrd of Oklahoma City; brother Mark Miller of Hooker; friends Diane, Kathy, and Karen; cousins Pam and Paula; extended family and a host of friends.
The family of Gretta would like to acknowledge Dr. Reynolds and his crew and Shepherd Hospice and their crew for the kindness and help shown to the family.
