Virginia Broome

Graveside service for Virginia Broome will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 4, 2021, in the Mountain Park Cemetery, with Rev. Les Bussell, Pastor of the Snyder First United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home of Snyder. Virginia Broome, 95, Snyder, passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2021, at Ayers Nursing Home in Snyder. She was born July 13, 1925, in Snyder to Silas and Bertha Jane (Summers) Brown. She married the love of her life, Wendell Wallace Broome, on August 22, 1946, in Vernon, Texas. They were married over 67 years before Wendell’s death in2014. Virginia was an excellent seamstress and quilter, and won many awards at the county fair over the years. Virginia is survived by her two children: Katie Edgar and Gary Broome; five grandchildren: Wendy Daniel, Billy Daniel and wife Robyn, Jaclyn Patterson and husband Brad, Penny Daniel, Amanda Brennan and husband Brian; seven great-grandchildren: Haylee Daniel, Luke Daniel, Case Daniel, Weston Patterson, Addison Brennan, Ryan Brennan and Tilly Brennan. She is also survived by one sister, Raenelle Nunn and numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Silas and Bertha Jane Brown, her husband Wendell, three brothers, Bill Uselton, Harold Brown and a twin Vernon Brown, her sister Betty Roberts and a grandson Don Allan Daniel
