Robert Gil DeLeon

Funeral service for former Davidson resident, Robert Gil DeLeon, 44, of Wichita Falls, Texas, was Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at the Voice of Truth Ministry, 614 SW Park Ave., Lawton, with Pastor Albert DeLeon officiating. Burial will follow in the Davidson Cemetery, Davidson. Mr. DeLeon passed away Friday, August 13, 2021, at the United Regional Health Care Center in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Robert Gil DeLeon was born July 24, 1977, in Vernon, Texas, to Guadalupe and Thedora (Gil) DeLeon. He attended Davidson Public School. In 1996, he and April Jeanette Duncan were united in marriage at Davidson.

He worked as a truck washer for Falls Truck Center in Wichita Falls, Texas. Robert loved to buy and restore classic vehicles. He enjoyed collecting antiques and was an avid basketball fan. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them and cooking out on the weekends.

He is survived by his wife April DeLeon of the home; his mother, Dora DeLeon of Davidson; his children: Dayton DeLeon and his wife Angelica of Vernon, Texas, Hannah Hogan and her husband Seth of Frederick, Macy DeLeon of Frederick, and Diego DeLeon of Amarillo, Texas; two brothers: Lupe DeLeon and his wife Sheree of Wichita Falls, Texas, and Albert DeLeon and his wife Kathy of Lawton; five sisters: Elizabeth Marie DeLeon of Frederick, Anna DeLeon of Snyder, Toni DeLeon of Davidson, Frances Cada and her husband Frankie of Frederick; and Ester Dela Cruz and her husband Ernesto of Davidson; seven grandchildren: Crystal Marie DeLeon, Autumn DeLeon, Arielle DeLeon, Abigail DeLeon, Heaven Hogan, Hadley Hogan, and Samuel Hogan; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lupe DeLeon who preceded him in death in 1991.
