COVID-19 Update - Thirteen active cases in Snyder

As of Wednesday morning, the Oklahoma Department of Health shows 42 confirmed active cases of COVID-19 in Kiowa County giving us a total of 948 cases since the pandemic began. The breakdown of cases by town is: 190 in Snyder (up 13), 13 active, 167 recovered and 10 deaths; 60 in Mt. Park (up six), six active, 53 recovered and one death; 53 in Roosevelt (up four), three active and 50 recovered; 402 in Hobart (up 11), 16 active, 374 recovered and 12 deaths; 135 in Mt. View (up four), three active, 128 recovered and four death; 33 in Gotebo, one active, 31 recovered and one death; 57 in Lone Wolf, all recovered. Elsewhere in our coverage area, Indiahoma shows 199 cases (up six), six active, 191 recovered and two deaths; and Tillman County shows 882 cases - 522 in Frederick (up six) with seven active, 503 recovered and 12 deaths; 22 in Manitou, all recovered; 135 in Tipton, 131 recovered and four deaths; 141 in Grandfield (up four), six active, 134 recovered and one death; 34 in Davidson, all recovered.

Statewide there were 550,239 cases (up 19,645) with 8,001 deaths (up 189) and 515,598 recovered. Oklahoma State Department of Health District 5 (Southwest Oklahoma) is showing a three-day average for hospitalizations of 157 (up 14), 39 of those in ICU. The statewide average is 1,477 with 413 of those being in ICU and 41 reported as pediatric hospitalizations.
