Janell Woodall

Graveside service for Janell Woodall, 83, were September 23, 2021, at Good Hope Cemetery, Helena, with arrangements by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Helena.

Espea Janell Woodall was born November 2, 1938, to Jackie Blaylock and Juanita Nelson Blaylock in Iowa Park, Texas. She always went by the name, Janell.

Janell married Elmer Woodall on July 2, 1956. They were married at Aunt Bertha’s house with Uncle Jonny officiating. Being an only child, Elmer’s siblings became her siblings. Elmer and Janell had six children who all called her “Maw.” Over the years, friends of her children called her “Maw” as well. She referred to them all as her “adopted kids.”

Elmer and Janell lived in the Snyder and Mountain Park, Oklahoma area until 1976 when they moved to Helena where they remained. Janell passed away peacefully surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She will be missed by many friends and family members.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Elmer; her parents, Jackie, and Juanita Blaylock; her brother-in-law, Oscar Woodall; her sister-in-law, Linda Neeley, and her brother-in-law, Norton Van de Poole.

She is survived by her brother-in-law, Curtis Neeley; sister-in-law, Tribba Van de Poole; brother-in-law, Harlon Lee Woodall and wife, Oleta; sister-in-law, Morine Peevyhouse and husband, Tom; son, Jackie Woodall and wife, Janet; son, William Woodall; daughter, Belinda Liebsch and husband, Phil; son, Wayne Woodall and wife, Katy; son, Marvin Woodall; son, Ron Woodall and wife, Heather; grandchildren, Amanda Holt, Blake Woodall, Britney Woodall, Ashley Woodall, Kalebb Woodall, Alyssa Wallace, George Liebsch, Kathryn Bromlow, Wesley Woodall, Renee Gore, Sabrina Moore, Sadie Koehn, Jake Woodall, Rebekah Woodall, Luke Woodall, Lilly Woodall; twenty-eight great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

Memorials may be given to Alfalfa County EMS or Helena Fire Department through the funeral home.
