Walter Hill

Funeral service for Walter Hill age 82, of Tipton, will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 29, 2021, at the Jackson Funeral Home Chapel, 921 W. Gladstone Avenue, Frederick. Burial will follow in the Tipton Cemetery, under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home.
Mr. Hill passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital in Altus.

Walter Hill was born December 23, 1938, in Frederick to Johnny and Sally (Lewis) Hill. He attended Hollis Public Schools, later transferring to Boyd High School in Frederick. He and Helen Ruth Jones were united in marriage in Frederick. Walter worked for Dallas Airmotive in Dallas, Texas, for many years.

He is survived by his wife, Helen Hill of Tipton; five sons: Edward Lewis Hill of Dallas, Texas, Steven Ray Hill and his wife Stephanie of Pilot Point, Texas, Walter Hill Jr. of Tipton, Craig Hill of Tipton, and Robert Hill of Oklahoma City; nineteen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members, and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny and Sally Hill; one son, James Hill; and five brothers: Jerry Lee Hill, Claud Hill, Clyde Hill, Sydney Hill, and Josh Burton.
