Steven Gentry

Steven Gentry, age 58, of New Castle, passed away in Kingston with his family by his side, on Tuesday, November 16, 2021. Steven was born on February 16, 1963, in Bloomington, Illinois, to Charline Gentry Zitterkob. He was raised by his grandparents, Charles and Dottie Gentry of Mtn. Park.

He was a high school graduate and attended college. He was employed in the oil industry as a forklift operator and worked until his health would no longer allow him.

He was a longtime resident of Newcastle, enjoyed all types of music, and also played a guitar. He was a big fan of football and loved OU and the Kansas City Chiefs. Most important was his family that he loved so much. He will be greatly missed by all of them.

Left to cherish his memory is his mother: Charline Zitterkob of Chickasha; his sisters: Tamera Krasser and Travis of Kingston, Marla Hannah and Charlie of Grand Junction Colorado, Jill Jackson and J Todd of Chickasha; brother: Stacey Toon of Dallas; sister: Jennifer Zitterkob of Lyndsay ; uncle Wesley Gentry of Washington; daughter: Josielynn Gentry of Oklahoma City; nieces: Tarah Esquivel and Richard of Hawaii, Ashley London and Brock of Sapulpa, Madelyn Jackson of Chickasha; nephew, Brandon Toon of Dallas; cousins: Ronnie Gentry of Moore, Spencer Gentry of Noble, other extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Charles and Dottie Gentry and his uncle: Phillip Gentry.

The family is planning a graveside memorial service at Fairlawn Cemetery, Snyder, at a later date.
