SKC Christmas Parade Sunday
The 12th Annual Southern Kiowa Chamber Christmas Parade will get underway at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in downtown Snyder.
Veterans will be featured leading the parade with a trailer and chairs provided.
Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place floats, vehicles and kid’s entries. Everyone is welcome to enter. Those entering should gather at the Snyder Farmer’s CoOp at 1:30 p.m.
Following the parade, Santa and Mrs. Claus will be at the indoor tennis court so the kids (10 and under) can tell him what they want for Christmas. They’ll receive a treat sack sponsored by City of Snyder, Discount Foods, Toma’s Grocery and SKC members. Mrs. Claus will give a ticket to each child 10 and under and they can pick out a free gift from the table while supplies last.
Before the parade be sure to enjoy a Soup and Chili meal dished up by the Snyder Showteam at the elementary cafeteria. They will be serving all you can eat from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. for $8 each. The menu includes home-cooked soup/chili, cornbread, drink and dessert.
