Mark Justin Schoonover

Funeral service for Mark Justin Schoonover will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, February 10, 2022, in the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home of Snyder Chapel with Pastor Matt Hester, Snyder United Methodist Church, Snyder, officiating.
Burial will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery, Snyder.
Viewing will be from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home in Snyder.
Mark Justin Schoonover, 53, Snyder passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2022, in Snyder. He was born March 12, 1968, in Santa Fe, New Mexico, to Victor Hinton and Elizabeth Ann (Burris) Schoonover.
Mark had an older brother, Todd Hinton Schoonover and a younger brother, Bruce Douglas Schoonover. In 1969 the family moved to Fayetteville, Arkansas, where Mark attended Butterfield Trail Elementary School until the third grade. Mark played little league baseball and was a Boy Scout. In 1977, the Schoonover family moved to Triple L Acres development between Altus and Blair. Mark attended Blair Public Schools from fourth to eighth grade. He played baseball and basketball. He made many lifetime friends in the community of Blair. He went to the ninth grade in Altus Public Schools. Mark was very active in FFA where he was an officer. He graduated from Altus High School in 1986 and went on to attend Cameron University in Lawton. He met his wife Amy Tucker while attending Cameron, and they married in 1997. Together they had three sons, Zane, Tucker and Conner. Mark got his degree in Professional Agriculture from Cameron, and went on to get his Master’s degree in Crop Science from Texas Tech University.
Amy and Mark divorced in 2007, and Mark moved to Snyder. He met and married Christina Campbell and gained two step-sons, Montana and Cheyenne Wells. The family made their home in Vernon, Texas, where he again made many lifetime and professional friends. Mark and Christina divorced in 2018 and again Mark moved back to Snyder where he pursued a career in insurance and realty.
Mark is survived by his younger brother Bruce Schoonover, his three sons, Zane, Tucker and his wife Courtney and Conner, two step-sons, Montana and Cheyenne Wells, sister-in-law Brenda Flanagan-Schoonover and her children, Braedon, Julia, Lauren and Matthew and his wife Robyn, and his grandchildren, Tilian Temperance and Caelum Joel.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Todd.
