Quinton Sharp

Celebration of Life for Quinton Sharp age 66, of Tipton, will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at the Jackson Funeral Home Chapel in Frederick with Rev. Les Banks officiating. Mr. Sharp passed away Saturday morning, February 12, 2022, at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital in Altus.

Ade Quinton Sharp was born on May 15, 1955, in Shidler, to Dallas Quinton and Edna May (Lackey) Sharp. He attended Tipton Public Schools, graduating from Tipton High School in 1975. He and Susan Jo Lynn Hampton were united in marriage at the Tipton Home on May 28, 1978. He worked as a lineman for Southwest Rural Electric in Tipton for many years prior to his retirement. Quinton loved gardening, fishing, cooking, and was always ready to go to church camp where he would cook for the kids and sponsors. His grandchildren where his pride and joy! He was their biggest supporters and was always ready to go to their school events. He was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church where he served as an ordained deacon prior to them disbanding. Quinton received Volunteer of the Year Awards for both the Tipton and Geronimo F.F.A. Programs.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Susan Sharp of the home; one daughter, Jona Howell and her husband Banjo of Tipton; one son, Jared Sharp and his wife Michelle of Geronimo; his bonus daughter, Courtney Kreizenbeck and her husband Cody of Arapaho; one brother, Larry Sharp and his wife Christy of Wichita Falls, Texas; two sisters: Brenda Echols and her husband Gary of Purcell, and Linda Echols of Ada; seven grandchildren: Laken Hughes, Creek Hughes, Trentley Sharp, Wyatt Sharp, Conner Kreizenbeck, Ciler Kreizenbeck, and Claire Kreizenbeck; and a host of nieces, nephews, and many friends.

He was preceded in death by one brother, LeRoy Sharp.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Tipton Children’s Home, or to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, for Kidney Research.
