Bill Pitts

Bill Glenn Pitts, 83, of Corn, passed away on March 12, 2021, in Glencoe. Graveside service will be at 2 p.m., Friday, March 19, 2021, at Brinkman Cemetery in Willow, under the direction of Ray & Martha's Funeral Home, Cordell. He was born December 16, 1937, in Roosevelt to Buna and Dee Pitts. Bill graduated from Roosevelt H.S. in 1956. Bill furthered his education and obtained a master’s degree from Southwestern State College. Bill married the love of his life, Edna Gale Halford Pitts on December 23, 1961. Bill and Edna had two sons, Brett Glenn and Brent Lynn. They raised their family, for most of the time, in Corn. Bill and Edna dedicated their lives influencing numerous students through their teaching profession. Bill taught science, while Edna taught English. Bill enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his family. He will be missed greatly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Buna and Dee Pitts, an infant sister, a brother Jay, and Bill's wife, Edna Gale Pitts. Survivors include sons: Brett Pitts and wife Laura of Dover, Brent Pitts and wife Lisa of Glencoe; grandchildren: Rowdy Pitts and wife Chelsey of Weatherford, Cameron Pitts and wife Jade of Morrison, Kylie Pitts of Weatherford, Mason Pitts of Glencoe; great-grandchildren: Jace, Jax, Lainey, Rhett and Jagger. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Brinkman Cemetery, c/o Theo Fite, PO BOX 111 Willow, Oklahoma 73673.
