Jimmie E. Anderson

Jimmie E. Anderson, 87, passed away February 6, 2022, in Snyder.

Jimmie was born in Snyder on October 16, 1934, to Charles E. Anderson and Lela B. Ladd Anderson. Jimmie was raised by Charles and Geraldine Beason Anderson (the only mother he ever knew), as Jimmie's mother, Lela, died when he was very young, leaving Charles to raise him alone. God was looking out for Jimmie when he sent Geraldine Beason to become his mother. Jimmie enjoyed fishing, hunting and all types of outdoor activities including looking for lost treasure. Jimmie worked as a barber most of his adult life. In his later working years he was also a home painter. He did find a great treasure, however, when he met his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, at an early age.

He was preceded in death by: Tammie La'Fawn Anderson (daughter), Lela Ladd Anderson (biological mother), Charles E. Anderson (father), Geraldine Beason Anderson (stepmother), Charles Dewayne Anderson (Brother), Sandra D. Anderson (mother of his two children and first wife), Dixie L. Anderson (second wife) and Daryl Hamilton (Dixie's son).

He was survived by his son, Jimmie E. Anderson Jr. and wife Pat of Altus; a sister, Barbara Ruth Anderson, of North Carolina; a brother, Jerry Don Anderson of Snyder; stepsons: Hank Hamilton, and wife Virginia of Dewey and Robert "Buck" Hamilton, and wife Marci of Broken Arrow; two biological grandchildren and a host of step-grandchildren, great- grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church, Snyder, at 1 p.m., on March 5, 2022.
