Bernice Cozart

Graveside service for former Snyder resident Bernice Cozart will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 19, 2022, in the Fairlawn Cemetery, Snyder, with Rev. Landon Warren, Pastor of the First Baptist Church, Snyder officiating.
Burial will be held under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home of Snyder.
Bernice Murlee Cozart, 96, Atoka, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2022, in Durant. She was born February 16, 1926, in Givens, Texas, to Robert Andy and Maude (Young) Norrell.
She married Earnest Cozart in Snyder, on April 5, 1945. He preceded her in death on August 15, 2011. She was a homemaker and assisted with the family business of a furniture store and recreational center in Snyder. She was well known for her cooking and sewing abilities. Her pies and fried chicken were the best!
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Ernestine and Bill Wilson of Atoka; three granddaughters: Michelle and husband Mike Johnson of Gatesville, Texas, Mary Duncan of Sachse, Texas, Kristie Mayfield of Atoka; six great grandsons: Ricky Fielder, David Fielder, Brandon Fielder, Tyler Duncan, Steven Mayfield, Gregory Mayfield; two great-great-granddaughters: Valerie Mayfield and Cheyenne Mayfield; her sister Peggy Waltman; sister-in-law Dora Norrell and many loved nieces and nephews.
Bernice was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Earnest of 66 years, a daughter Donna LeFlore; brothers: Arlie and wife Gladys, Roy and wife Julia, Fred and wife Jeannie, Marvin Norrell; her sisters: Dorthy and husband Emil, Norma Jean and husband Melvin Brumley; brother-in-law Frank Waltman and special in-laws Joe and Helen Cozart.
